Hi, I'm Anna
I work as a project manager, I’m a parent, and I’m an expat based in Frankfurt am Main, Germany.
A few years back, I moved here with my family. What began as a short-term assignment gradually became a new life chapter abroad.
How It Started
Moving to Germany wasn't in our long-range plan. Like many expat relocations, it began as a job opportunity and soon grew into something far more significant.
The opening months were demanding — unfamiliar processes, new habits, and higher expectations. Daily chores seemed more complex than they ought to be.
The Adjustment Period
We faced culture shock, doubt, and a lot of learning on the fly. Yet over time, patterns settled in. We found spots that fit our needs, connected with other families, and began creating something that felt steady.
Why I Built Branch Tide Paper Fen
Most online resources either offer corporate relocation guidance or shallow tourism content. What was lacking is a genuine, everyday family viewpoint.
This site aims to fill that gap with practical, real-life advice from living in Germany.
What This Site Is (And Isn't)
This site stands for:
- Hands-on insights drawn from living in Germany
- Centered on family life and day-to-day realities
- Updated whenever a meaningful change occurs
This site isn't:
- An official tourism authority resource
- A platform for sponsored reviews
- Just another generic travel blog
Looking Ahead
Our stay in Germany goes on, and so does the ongoing learning journey. As long as the information remains helpful, I will continue sharing what we learn.
If you have questions about family life in Frankfurt am Main or anywhere in Germany, don't hesitate to get in touch.
Best regards,
Anna
